New Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Transfer Minibus released

Mercedes-Benz has expanded its Sprinter offering with the introduction of the 12-seater minibus model.

The new Sprinter Transfer is more comfortable, more versatile and safer than ever before. This latest edition is a versatile minibus, with potential uses ranging from school, aged care or crew buses, to efficient airport transfers.

Building on the segment-defining standards set by its predecessors, the Sprinter Transfer progresses further with new equipment features, including:

  • Keyless start
  • Roof mounted air condition systems to ensure pleasant interior temperatures
  • Air conditioning zones to regulate the passenger compartment separately
  • New passenger seating with reclinable backrest and foldable armrests
  • Seating rows now equipped with USB charging points, plus storage space for smart phones
  • Electric sliding rear door and step providing easy entry

The Sprinter Transfer features the following technical data specifications:

  • 4-cylinder
  • 105kW/330Nm or 120kW/360Nm
  • TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic

With the improved transmission comes smooth gearshifts, low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs, all increasing the attractiveness of this latest model.

As an innovation driver, Mercedes-Benz Vans equips the Sprinter Transfer with safety features that it also includes in passenger cars, such as Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, reversing camera, Lane Keeping Assist, Attention Assist, and front and window airbags for driver and co-driver.

In addition to these, optional safety and assistance systems extra are available, including the radar-based adaptive cruise control DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and the Parking Package with 360 degree camera. Crosswind Assist continues on board as standard, as it makes the passenger journey considerably safer, especially at higher speeds on freeways.

Full smartphone integration via Android Auto or Apply Carplay is included with the MBUX multimedia system, which has a 7” HD display as standard.

Priced at $72,500 for the 414 CDI model, and $87,900 for the 416 CBI model (MRLP - Manufacturers Recommended List Price*), the Sprinter comes with comprehensive warranty five years or until the vehicle has travelled up to 250 000kms. Standard Roadside Assist comes at no extra cost during the manufacturer warranty period. This means customers are covered anywhere in Australia. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
